Poha recipe
Ingredients:
Poha as needed for 4 people
1 medium-sized onion (chopped)
3 green chilies (chopped)
1 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp sugar
3/4 tsp salt
2 small potatoes (chopped)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup peanuts
1 lime (squeeze it's juice)
1/3 cup oil
Process:
Put the poha in a collander and pour drinking water over it to make it soft. Mix the poha with your hand so the water spreads on all the pieces. Let the water drain.
Put oil in a rounded pan on high flame. Add mustard seeds. After frying, add peanuts. When the peanuts turn golden brown reduce it to low flame. Add chopped green chilies. When fried, add chopped onion.
After the smell of the onions passes through, add turmeric powder. When mixed in, add chopped potatoes. Add salt. Leave the potatoes to cook for 10 minutes, adding sugar and mixing the cooking mixture twice in between.
Place the soft poha inside. Squeeze the lime juice. Mix everything together. Leave it to heat for 5 minutes.
